The location is handy, about 2-3 minutes from the highway, with chain stores and restaurants nearby for last-minute needs. I stayed two days and everyone I spoke to was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean by my standards as a former hotel employee. I was also impressed that they cleaned the hallways and common areas daily, since those spaces often get neglected. I’d stay again if I pass through northern Illinois.

We stayed overnight while visiting family with my wife and kids. The room was very nice and everything was clean. Breakfast was tasty, and all three staff members I spoke with were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is nice, and I’d stay again, but I’d ask for a room away from the stairwell. Mine was 201, right beside the stairwell door, which slammed loudly enough to sound like someone was trying to get in. It woke me at least three times each night during my two-night stay. I asked for earplugs on the second night, but they didn’t have any. They should add soft-closing doors and keep earplugs available.

I prepaid for two rooms for one night for two groups of visitors, but both guests were charged again at checkout. One was billed for one room and the other for both, so between us we paid for five rooms. It should be simple to fix, but it’s almost impossible to reach anyone by phone. The menu just loops without anyone answering. One person in my party did get through, but was rudely told to call back because they couldn’t do anything then. I understand the property is brand new and has growing pains, but that’s a lot of errors and there’s no accountability.
