The room was drafty because neither door shut properly, and the beds were so springy. The place is old and the rooms smelled bad, maybe from the very old carpet. At least I didn’t see any bugs, I guess. The parking lot was empty both days, but the older woman at the desk still interrupted my phone call to tell me to move my truck about 20 feet. Parking instructions hadn’t been clear: she’d said “the long building,” and both buildings looked long when driving through. When I asked, she snapped that she meant the horseshoe building. I moved, even though I wasn’t blocking anyone. She also walks her dogs on the grass where the pool used to be and doesn’t clean up after them, so watch where you step. She was odd and lied to us, too. I should’ve taken how quiet it was as a hint. I booked two nights and wish I’d only stayed one. No silver lining at Silver spur Village. Good luck if you stay.

The room was clean and cool, and I slept really well on the comfortable bed. The outside might give you the wrong impression. The woman at the front desk may have been the owner, I’m not sure, but she was very kind and helpful. I’d locked my key in the room, and even though she was busy, she came right over and let me back in. I’d recommend staying here.

We ended up in Dodge City unexpectedly after car trouble, and the stop turned into a real bright spot. Darla and the rest of the staff made a stressful situation much easier, and the inn felt cozy and welcoming. It’s an easy 12-minute walk to Boot Hill Museum and historic downtown, so we got to explore the town’s Wild West history instead of spending the day bored. Our room was quiet, spacious, and incredibly clean, with a microwave and refrigerator that came in handy when our stay stretched longer than planned. Silver Spur Vintage Inn & Suites has vintage charm that suits Dodge City, plus good value in a handy location.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the room was CLEAN. Lots of Dodge City attractions and some great food are within walking distance. Definitely try el korita. I’d happily stay again.

The staff were fantastic, and the room was clean with comfortable beds. I liked having both a front and back door, too. There were only two lamps, so the room was dark, but that was still okay. The main drag was the downside. On Friday night, loud cars seemed to race up and down the strip until 2 AM. Saturday was much quieter. That traffic isn’t the hotel staff’s fault, though.
