Super 8 by Wyndham Dodge City

The location is great for seeing Dodge City, and the room itself was nice and clean. Breakfast had hot and cold food options, not only waffles and cereal. The night clerk was polite, but the morning clerk seemed not to care. There were some serious problems for our group. The dining nook chairs are flimsy, and one collapsed under someone in our party, causing a slight injury, so be careful with them. The room has grab rails, but they felt unsteady and were awkwardly placed. The toilet seat was loose, and its handles were awkward as well. If you’re traveling with someone who has mobility issues, this place should be a last resort. For able-bodied guests, the location and room may work well.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had no odor, and the location was convenient. What really made my stay, though, was Lexi. She was patient, kind, professional, and always helpful, with a smile. She went out of her way to make sure things were right, and made the hotel feel welcoming. Thanks to Super 8, and especially to Lexi for taking such good care of me. I’ll be back and would recommend this location.

It was a quiet stay for a decent price, and I’d come back if I’m in the area. The front desk staff were nice, both at check-in and in the morning. There’s a Dary Queen right next door, and the hotel is within walking distance of it. I didn’t get to see the breakfast or pool, and I don’t think there’s an exercise room. The eating area looked very small. I stayed in room 205. The cable wasn’t working, but the night clerk tried to fix the box and reboot it. Since it was after 10pm, we told him not to bother calling his manager and to just report it. The TV could use an update, and there should be more outlets for charging devices. The bed is close to the wall on one side, leaving little room for the second guest to get in and out. Moving it and adding a nightstand in the corner might help. The pillows were awful, really hard. Also, there’s no elevator despite the hotel having three stories and indoor access to rooms. The room was pretty clean.

I spent a couple nights here while waiting for my truck to be fixed. The area was quiet, with no loud music, and I didn’t see any bugs. Staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the water got hot. There was plenty of soap and a free hot breakfast. Food options are everywhere nearby, literally next door, across the street, or less than a block away. There’s even a massage parlor a few doors down with nice ladies who can knead away your troubles.
