Travelodge by Wyndham Dodge City

On September 17, 2025, I pulled back the sheets because I use my own bedding, and found a bed bug. I have a video of it. The room was also extremely dirty, with hairs on the floor and in the drawers, and surfaces that hadn’t been cleaned. I booked through Airbnb and sent them the video, and showed it to the manager too. The manager didn’t deny it was a bedbug. Airbnb promptly refunded my money. Since I didn’t end up staying and got a refund, I can’t leave a review on Airbnb.

Booking online here was a waste of time. It feels like a scam. I’ve been waiting two months for my refund, and all they say is that their team is working on it. I spoke with three supervisors who each said they’d handle it, but nothing changed. They lied about the rooms and everything else. They don’t deserve even one star.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were very helpful. Great area for shopping and dining, too. It was great.

The room was decent, nothing special. It’s a motel. The owner basically wanted us out by 8:45 a.m., but I told her we were checking out at 11. Police were sitting in their cars in the lot, blocking parking and intimidating customers while doing nothing.
