Wyatt Earp Hotel

The bed was comfortable, and the lodging was inexpensive. The room could’ve been cleaner, though there was nothing that seemed like a health concern, and wi-fi was the only amenity. After 9 pm, someone we didn’t recognize knocked on our door, then left when we didn’t answer.

The room was clean and had new floors, though they were installed poorly. Everything else looked so shabby it felt like lipstick on a pig. Outside, the place was badly run down: the stair carpet was shredded, and the wood was worn through in spots. The door’s deadbolt just spun without locking, and there was no chain lock, which felt like a major safety issue. The TV didn’t work either. The photos they post can be misleading, since some show places around town rather than the hotel. I had a reservation and completed their online check-in the day before, but when we arrived at 8p, the clerk looked panicked and said there might not be any rooms. I reminded her I’d booked one. After stammering for a minute, she asked us to wait 20 minutes while she got something ready. We did eventually get a room, but it had been sprayed so heavily with chemicals that the bed was soaked, and I had to ask for fresh sheets. I’m giving it one whole star because I didn’t see any bugs while we were there.

We stayed two nights and got a clean room with a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and for the price, you can’t beat it. We checked the room for bed bugs when we arrived and didn’t find any, which was great. The place could use a little fixing up. It’s pet friendly, but there’s no grass to walk your dog, and there’s no pool, which was fine with us. I’d happily stay here again.

We stayed here two years ago and came back again this week. The people who work there were the best part, really friendly and helpful. We had a great room, with a comfy bed and pillows, and the AC can make it cold. The price was great too. We’ll definitely be back.
