Centerstone Inn Doswell At Kings Dominion

The room was clean and had a stove, fridge, and coffee machine. Parking was available, the area was quiet, and the hotel is right off I-95. At reception there was a coffee machine and a vending machine, and the setup was mostly self-service. There was one Mexican-style restaurant next door, but not many places to eat nearby. You'd likely need to drive, or perhaps walk, to reach the restaurants in the area. There's a large amusement park next door, though I don't know whether more food trucks come when it opens. My scores: cleanliness 10/10, restaurant convenience 3/10, safety 10/10, parking 10/10, reception 9/10. Would I return? Yes.

Nothing fancy, just a Days Inn with a winning location for Kings Dominion. You can walk across the parking lot to the park, and there's a Mexican restaurant connected to the lobby where you can have dinner.

The bathroom was disgusting, the rooms were awful, and I'm not sure the sheets had been cleaned. You can hear everything through the paper-thin walls, and nowhere delivers food here. The one upside is the rate, just $67 a night, but I found the place scary to stay in.

The only real plus is how close it is to Kings Dominion. The rooms were dirty and smelly, and the property is poorly kept, with trash, clothes, and dog poop lying around. The tennis court looked abandoned and full of booby traps. They seem to have just put lipstick on a pig. The outside door didn't line up properly, so light and bugs came in all night. Stay away.
