Seeing what Hampton had to offer made the move to the Holiday Inn Express down the street feel like a real tease. My work put me in a king suite here for just one night, then I had to spend 31 days at the Holiday Inn Express instead. Total disappointment. This hotel had much more room, it was cleaner, and the closet and bathroom counter were both bigger. There was also a roomy kitchen counter with a sink and a larger fridge that actually got cold. This would've been the better place for my 32-day work stay.

The breakfast was fresh and filling, and every part of the staff was friendly and ready to help, from housekeeping and the breakfast attendants to maintenance and the front desk. Ashlyn deserves a special mention for check-in. We were second in line, and she got us through quickly while still being incredibly friendly. We'll be back.

The highway is close, so you can hear some road noise, though it wasn't too bad and probably won't bother most people. A fan or sleep app should cover much of it, but light sleepers may want to ask for a room on the side away from the road if possible. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and there were good choices at breakfast.

At 8pm on a Friday, all the lights in the lounge and walkway were off, which made it pretty clear the front desk clerk didn't want anyone spending time there. She was rude and had no people skills. When we asked for a fan, she wouldn't even try to find one in the building. It's the first time we've stayed at a Hilton where the desk clerk wouldn't help with that request. 1/30/26

The omelettes at breakfast were the highlight. Hotel eggs are usually pretty soggy and mediocre, but these were cheesy, with a little onion and bell pepper, and so good I ate three. I've had omelettes at established restaurants that could only wish they were this good. The pears were perfectly ripe, too. Our room had two queen beds and was clean, spacious enough, and nice and cold with the AC. We were only there overnight, and it was a pleasant stay. Those omelettes were absolutely fire.
