Motel 6 Douglas, AZ

The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean, and they let us check in early. There was no charge for our doggy either. If you want a good value in Douglas, this is a great option.

It’s a quiet spot with easy access, and the beds were comfortable, though the room was small. The AC worked, but there wasn’t much hot water. I couldn’t use the pool: it had water, but the gates were locked and nobody could tell me why. No breakfast, as expected, and the lobby coffee was weak and hardly worth drinking. It is Motel 6, so my expectations weren’t high.

The room smelled musty, and I found something really gross on the blanket when I checked the bed. They gave me a bedsheet when I asked for a fresh blanket. The TV didn’t work, and the place was generally not very clean.

I picked M 6 for its parking, unloaded my motorcycle, then turned on the heat because I was close to hypothermia. There was no microwave, mini fridge, or television, but I could live without those. I just wanted a hot shower and bed. After unpacking and getting undressed, I found there was no hot water either. The next morning I asked the desk to adjust the bill and got nothing. I didn’t expect the Hilton, but management giving me the cold shoulder was unacceptable.
