The room had roaches, so the stay felt uncomfortable and unsanitary. When I tried to raise the problem, the staff were extremely rude and threatened to call the police instead of dealing with it respectfully. I had a very unpleasant experience at America’s Best Value Inn in Douglasville, GA. I wouldn't recommend it unless management addresses the cleanliness and staff behavior.

I won't be returning, and I want other travelers, especially anyone with pets or children, to know what happened. The bed frame had sharp metal corners sticking out, and we kept bumping our knees and other body parts on them. It seemed like an injury risk, especially for kids. With the police situation escalating so suddenly, I didn't get to tell management about that hazard. I also plan to report the place to the health department, BBB, and any other agencies needed, and pursue some kind of monetary compensation. A relations manager later posted a generic reply saying they understood the seriousness and would use the feedback to improve service. I appreciate the acknowledgment, but it didn't address the pests, fleas, safety issue, or 911 call, so it isn't a resolution. I had booked and prepaid for a week through a third party, and paid an additional pet fee onsite. It was all budget friendly. The first night I found roaches in the room. Around day three or four, my cat had fleas, which we hadn't dealt with before this stay. I continued because the stay was prepaid, then reported the problems at checkout. The front desk clerk denied there was a problem and said I could do whatever I wanted to do. I'm still not sure what she meant. She wouldn't give me a manager's contact and said there would have to be an investigation first. When I politely asked what to do next, she got short with me and called 911, falsely saying I was harassing her. I calmly explained what happened to the police when they arrived. Packing and cleaning took longer than I expected because I had planned to stay longer and had accumulated belongings. Nobody raised that as an issue until after the police arrived, then it was used to make it seem like I was inconveniencing staff. Rather than address the unsanitary conditions, pests, and safety concerns, management trespassed me and avoided accountability. The whole experience, from the pests to the poor service and ignored safety issues, was a nightmare and unacceptable.

It's in a quiet area, so I got a good night's sleep. The rooms are really spacious and have everything you need for a stay. Truckers should find the parking area a good size, and the rates are good too.

i'm travelling across the country, and they made sure i had a very safe room. the mattresses, carpets, everything was so clean, and the room smelled fresh and nice 💖. everyone was really kind. sorry i used your washcloths to clean up sauce that spilled from my cooler while travelling. i tried to get them as clean as i could. no bugs or stray animals around, though i kinda wish there were stray animals so i could share treats.
