Comfort Inn Douglasville - Atlanta West

The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. My room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom and linens were all neat and tidy. I had a very pleasant stay. Thank you, Mahi.

The breakfast had waffles, eggs, sausage, bananas, yogurt, grits, muffins, bagels, and toast. The rest of the staff and the checkout process were much better than our check-in, and one of our cards was refunded after we called the next day. The receptionist was understanding and apologetic about what happened. Still, we'll think carefully before staying here again. My family and I arrived at 3:50 on Thanksgiving morning after working Wednesday and driving all night so we wouldn't have to rush that morning. At first, the doors from the small lobby to the main hotel lobby wouldn't open. The woman on duty finally said with an attitude that the doors were open. Then she kept telling us we had to hurry with our information because the machine shut off at 4am and she wouldn't be able to do anything. We hadn't been told about this before arriving, and her repeated reminders that she couldn't help after 4am didn't help. At 4am the system did shut down. She said she'd have to call her manager and wait 30 minutes, but never called anyone, and did something on the computer instead. She hurried us through reviewing and signing the paperwork and handed us the key without further instructions. Maybe she'd had a rough night and wanted to get off work, but that didn't excuse the unprofessional attitude. Anyone arriving around 4am should be ready for something like this. We wanted to split payment, cash for part and card for the rest. Later, after checking the receipt and bank accounts, we realized the receptionist had taken our cash and charged two of our cards.

Expect loud parties at the property. The front desk said it was the same guest every week, and they couldn't confront the men because they feared for their own safety. Police had to come, and the party was shut down.

There was no working A/C, no freezer in the room even though I checked with the front desk and was told there would be one, and no breakfast or coffee despite paying for it. I had to clean the toilet when I arrived, and there were blood stains on my sheets. Renovation work directly above my room didn't start until 8pm and carried on until midnight. I have a newborn. The front desk woman was rude and kept saying I'd have to talk to a manager in the morning. I'll never go to a Comfort Inn again, and neither will my friends or family.
