Best Western Galaxy Inn

The bathroom ceiling tile over the shower had soaked up moisture and was molding, and there was mold over the bed too. The tub drain was clogged, so water collected while I showered. Our mattress was hard with a deep dip in the middle, and I spent the night trying to keep to my side of the bed. A previous review apparently mentioned the mattresses and was told they would be replaced, but ours still hadn't been. The exit by our room wouldn't accept the security card, and people were propping the door open with a floor mat. An employee said it had been that way for quite a while, despite management having said long ago that it would be fixed. Anyone could walk right in, which is a serious security concern. The entrance doors were covered in spider webs and dead bugs, and the ice machines need cleaning too. This could be a nice place if someone took responsibility for fixing it up. I'd consider staying again if they did.

It was quiet, but the breakfast was awful. Even the muffin wouldn't toast properly. The towels were clean and soft, though I'm not sure about the sheets. The floors and bathrooms really weren't clean. Best Western, the rooms and corridors need more attention.

The location is great, and there's a nice pool when it's in season. The rooms are clean and a good size, and the service was great. Turn-down service came at the same time every morning.

The hallway had a damp, dewy smell. The room looked clean at first, but when I shut the bathroom door I noticed dust and debris, including a fingernail tip. They moved me from my first room because the tub was wet and dirty, and so was the toilet.
