Hyatt Place Delray Beach

Great location, with lively foot traffic at night and local shops close by. There’s a great Colombian coffee shop within walking distance, and on weekends the amazing Coco Open Farm Market has all sorts of things, from produce to fresh baked goods. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Water pressure was low, and the water wasn’t as hot as I wanted. We’ll be back.

The lobby and decor look lovely, and the room has an attractive, fresh feel at first. It’s also walkable to restaurants, bars, and shops, and there’s a steamer in the room, which is a plus. But I would not stay here again or recommend it. The shower grout on the floor looked icky, the bed was terribly lumpy, and there were no hypoallergenic or foam pillows available. There wasn’t even a shower cap, which I use and would expect as a basic amenity. The closet was skimpy, with no space to hang long dresses, and the safe was locked when we arrived. We were out all day, returned around 4, and the room still hadn’t been made up. Housekeeping knocked at 4:30. The worst part was the temperature. We were told the hotel has no heat at all, and the room was cold after my shower, all night, and into the next day. It’s not always cold, but it was then, and outside it was 42 degrees. Mr. Hyatt Place, check the temperatures over time. Heat may not be needed all the time, but it was needed then, and wasn’t there. It was so unpleasant and stupid. The AC might be enough in a hot summer.

The location was fantastic for enjoying Delray, and we had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place Delray. There was a delay checking in, but Dylan at the front desk handled it smoothly and upgraded us to an even better room than we expected. He kept checking in afterward to make sure we were taken care of. Excellent service and a great experience!

I travel for work, and this was one of my favorite places to stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and even suggested restaurants to try. The location is great for shops and restaurants, and there’s a nice scenic walk nearby, though it rained on and off during my stay so I didn’t want to risk it. The hotel was super clean, and the bed and couch were very comfortable. Breakfast was good, with more choices than most places and a nice selection of fruit and juices for people on the go. I’d have liked boiled eggs, croissants, and some kind of trail mix, though. As a solo traveler, I felt safe: the multiple entrances needed a key card, and the main entry was near the attentive front desk staff.
