I want to recognize Ashley for the way she handled my call on her Saturday night shift at the Hampton Inn. I'd just booked through priceline.com, but somehow the reservation date had been moved from that night to two weeks later. Hampton Inn sent me to Priceline, and Priceline told me to call back for approval to cancel with a refund. Ashley explained calmly and professionally that, under the policy Priceline had set, I wasn't eligible for one, even though I'd booked only five minutes earlier. I was already in a bad place. I work in an ER and had just finished a double shift when a broken sprinkler flooded our apartment and displaced us, so we needed a hotel. I was not pleasant to Ashley at all, but she stayed composed and treated me with integrity. You'd never have guessed she was dealing with an irate idiot if you were standing in front of her. She took the customer facing part of her job seriously and represented her employer extremely well. She was doing her job as it should be done, but customer service like that deserves recognition and to be an example. Thank you, Hampton Inn.

I'd given the hotel one star at first because my room didn't have a microwave. Came back today and found a brand new one waiting on the desk. They must've seen the review, and I couldn't help laughing. That's some of the best customer service I've ever had. Five stars earned!

They gave me a late checkout, which was really kind, and the breakfast is top tier. I love this place and will keep coming back.
