Black Bear Inn

The owners have put so much care into this mom-and-pop motel, and those personal touches made us feel right at home. Bear-shaped soap, candy bars, and s’mores around the fire were all lovely. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and it had everything we needed. The building is old, but they’ve done their best to keep it updated. We absolutely loved it and would recommend it.

Julie was a wonderful host, warm, welcoming, and so helpful, and the staff were fantastic. We had a great stay at Black Bear Inn. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are super comfortable. There are lots of cute bear-themed touches around the inn. The room wasn’t as clean on the second day, which is why I’d give it four stars instead of five. There’s always room to improve, but overall we had a great stay. Highly recommended!

I stayed almost two weeks and couldn’t have been happier with the rooms. They were very clean, and the mattress was really comfortable. Liz and her staff were absolutely awesome. RIP Ranger, what an awesome pup he was!

We made some lovely memories at Black Bear Inn. There were heartwarming messages among all the bears around our spacious room, and the s’mores by the river were a real treat. We also enjoyed great ice cream while watching the fireworks from chairs set up by the road for the best views. Thanks so much for a fabulous stay!
