Americas Best Value Inn & Suites St. Cloud

They advertised a pool and breakfast, but neither was available. I booked five nights for my grandkids, and they never got fresh towels or clean bedding during the stay. They also charged $15 per dog each night, though their website said $10. The old air conditioner kept changing its noise, so we had to turn it off at night to sleep. Easily the worst place ever. Save your money.

Kelly, the general manager, kept making me laugh, and the staff were friendly. I spent three months here and had a pretty chill, fun time. What can I say, you make it what you want.

The room was a letdown, especially the queen beds with those prison-like mattresses. They were so uncomfortable and squeaked whenever I moved, even just a foot. In the hallway, all you could smell was weed and cigarettes, and a dog a few doors down barked nonstop. Only one of the two side doors worked with a key. We won't come back, and we'll tell people the hotel's condition isn't worth the savings. We're an over-the-road trucking family and have stayed in some pretty questionable places, but this one made them look like five-star resorts. Never again.

The room was filthy, and the whole building reeked of stale smoke. There was leftover food and grease on the table, and the furnishings were both dirty and in bad shape. The tub and toilet were nasty, with a hair on the toilet left by a previous guest. The TV had a good selection of channels, and the free Wi-Fi worked well. If this is the choice instead of sleeping in your car, take the car.
