The location, just minutes from the trails, was perfect, and getting around was easy with convenient parking and fast Wi-Fi. My family and I were blown away by our stay at the newly renovated Lava Mountain Lodge. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully updated, with handy amenities. We also loved the on-site CD Trail Bar and Grill. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the nightly specials were better than we expected. The staff were friendly and the service was great. We've stayed at other lodges nearby, and this place offered great value along with exceptional service. I highly recommend it. They deserve more than five stars!

I came for a business retreat and found the lodge ideal for a peaceful stay, whether you're there for work or leisure. The cabins were clean, cozy, comfortable, and roomier than expected. Renovations across the property look impressive, with modern, thoughtful updates carried out beautifully. Every staff member we met was inviting, warm, and eager to help. The new chef was another highlight; breakfast, lunch, and dinner were among the best meals we've had. Highly recommend this serene, updated lodge for its food and hospitality.

Such a lovely little spot in a beautiful setting. My only gripe is that the cops patrolling the road seem to run a bit of a speed trap as you enter Dubois, targeting tourists with out-of-state plates.

We're truly sorry to everyone. New owners have had the lodge since April 2025, with new management in place since June 2025. The owner has remodeled all the rooms, cabins, big house, restaurant, and kitchen. Work on the convenience store is about to begin. Please give us a chance based on what the lodge is now, not its past. Our local management remembers how it used to be, and we're working to bring that greatness back and make it even better. We'll share an update once the website is running again and all accommodations are available.
