Lorelei Cabins

We’ve never had anything negative to say about our visits. The cabins are perfect, and the water is great for introducing someone to kayaking before taking a scenic kayak trip in Galena. We’ve come every summer for close to ten years and love it. The trails are easy to enjoy, it’s a birding paradise, and you should see both the sunrise and sunset.

We loved having the pond right behind the Edelweiss cabin, since we spent most of our time there. We stayed a few nights in June and everything was amazing. The cabin was clean, and we really appreciated the extra kitchen items. The owners were friendly and easy to communicate with, and even provided a pack n play for our little one. I can’t wait to go back!

For our last-minute anniversary getaway, we booked a cabin and found a beautiful place to relax among stunning surroundings. The screened-in porch overlooking the pond was my favorite, especially having coffee while the sun came up. We enjoyed the well-kept trails and their gorgeous views, kayaking on the pond, relaxing by the fire pit, and using the hot tub. We didn’t spend much time inside, but the cabin had everything we needed. Laura and Jim were responsive while still giving us total privacy. Thanks for a wonderful getaway. We’d love to come back someday with our kids.

Jim and Laura are wonderfully kind, accommodating hosts, and the property is beautiful, with rolling hills and hiking trails. I’ve stayed at these cabins four times and always had a relaxing, fun experience. We watched the sunrise from the deck each morning and the sunset from the jacuzzi. I’ll go again and again!!!!!
