Super 8 by Wyndham Dubuque

Everything was above expectations except the mattress, which is probably the most important part of a hotel stay. I felt every spring, and it was terrible, so I had to take off 2 stars. The place was clean, breakfast was good, and otherwise I was happy with the hotel.

For $50, it was worth it if you're just passing through. I checked under the sheets and bed and, surprisingly, found no bedbugs and no bullshit. They should clean under the bed, though.

The room smelled musty, and the old building needs repairs. We got mixed messages about room service: a sign at the front desk said to ask for clean towels and sheets, while the card in the room said to leave them on the floor. We got no service either way. We won't stay at Super 8 again.

After driving 4 hours, we got there and were told we had to pay a $200 deposit, plus another deposit for dogs even though we didn't have our dogs with us. There's nothing anywhere about that $200 deposit. Really bad experience, please don't recommend.
