Getting 43 people checked in after a long travel day was easy because the manager and team had all 14 rooms and keys ready for us. Their planning took a lot of stress out of arriving with our youth group. We were in Dumas, Texas, on the way to a youth conference in Colorado. The staff were professional, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we were set. We had an excellent stay and plan to stop here again next year. I’d recommend it to anyone passing through Dumas.

We liked the room and the complimentary breakfast enough that we’d stay again. The staff were very nice, too. We were the last ones eating before breakfast closed, and when my 15-year-old grandson asked for more bacon, the woman working there made him some. We really appreciated that. They also came right away and fixed a toilet problem. This was our first visit, and check-in was easy. We stayed two nights in a clean, very nice room. There’s a heated indoor pool. My grandson was excited to swim, though after a day working in the hot sun, the warm water wasn’t very refreshing. They apparently heat it in summer as well. During the week there’s a happy hour, though I’m not sure which days. I think it runs from 5-7 pm, with all-you-can-eat wings and two beers per person. We tried it the second night. We would’ve gone the first night if we’d been told about it, but nobody mentioned it. The wings were good, though I didn’t see any beer.

Breakfast was very good, and the beds were comfortable. The room was clean, with the grab bars and walk-in shower we requested. Our third adult slept on the fold-out bed. The only thing we noticed was a scattering of tiny holes, some a little larger than pinholes, in the curtains. I’m not sure what caused them. We were on the first floor.

A comfortable place for a night’s rest. It’s fairly new, set well back from the highway, and the check-in was quick and friendly. The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom worked fine. The AC was good, and there was coffee in the room as well as in the lobby. It’s no five-star resort, but it was a good stop.

We did enjoy the pool and hot tub, and got in three games of pool with lots of laughs. The continental breakfast was good, too. The room was clean and smelled nice, which mattered since we were there to prepare for a funeral. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’d called Friday to ask about checking in after 1 pm, and the man said it was no problem. Because of electricity issues, though, we waited until almost 3 pm for a room. That was okay, and the room itself was nice. The fridge didn’t work at all, its dial was broken off in room 304, and the cabinet around it was broken enough that I was afraid to touch it. The TV was tiny, about 27 inches, and sat off to the left instead of being centered on the bed. The elevator was slow as well. I probably wouldn’t stay again. For 100 a night, the broken fridge and small, off-center TV were big drawbacks, though my husband expects things to be up to par when we pay.
