The bathroom seemed up to date, and apart from the carpet the room was reasonably clean. But the carpet was filthy, and the lobby, hall, and room all smelled bad. The person who checked us out seemed uninterested at best. I suspect the hotel can keep its prices high and quality low because it’s near Niagara Falls. Maybe we should have driven farther.

The hallway smelled, though thankfully our room didn’t. It was dated, with a dirty carpet and stained bathtub. At least the towels and linens were clean. The staff were very unfriendly, and it was pricey for what you get. We were only passing through.

Quiet place, old but very clean. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast from 6 to 9 am was very good.

The room’s musty smell reminded me of old smoke. We tried running the air to clear it, but it only worked when set to 60 degrees, so we froze overnight. The bathtub was worn and dirty, and the hotel felt outdated. We’d picked it as a quick stop on our road trip because reviews were mostly positive, but it wasn’t worth $200 a night.

The breakfast was a little light, but at least they had waffles. The rooms were clean, and the location worked great for me, with restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. I’d stay here again when I’m in the area for work.
