Comfort Suites Dunnellon near Rainbow Springs

We showed up for a last minute trip and, even though the hotel looked sold out online, Sammi found us a reservation. Sam was a trip at check-in and made us feel welcome right away. Ari got our room ready for an early check-in, and Ethel had a nice hot breakfast waiting the next day at checkout. The room was clean too. We’ll be back.

We came from Daytona Beach to be near Rainbow River and Springs, and left with zero complaints. We run a hotel in The Shores ourselves, so we noticed how clean and well kept everything was. Our room was spotless, with the kind of attention to detail we expect at our own place, and we felt completely safe here. Check-in was great, though I wish I’d gotten the name of the woman who helped us. I think she was the manager, and she was dressed as an elf on Halloween; she was there each day of our stay. She and the whole team were professional, kind, and helpful. The breakfast staff kept everything stocked and were very accommodating, and housekeeping, maintenance, and the front desk were all great. I’d recommend this hotel 100%.

The hotel itself was good, but some items were taken from my work truck. They weren’t too expensive, though it was clear someone had been checking the inside, the outside, and the tool bins to steal things. I’m glad I double lock my tool bins. If you’re staying here for work, keep an eye on your tools.

The breakfast was delicious, and Ethel kept everything clean and stocked. There were waffles, bacon, biscuits and gravy, plus scrambled and hard boiled eggs. Michael was extremely friendly when he checked us in. Our room was spacious, clean, and modern. The bed was firm, a little too hard for me, though my husband liked it. It was a great stay, and well worth it if you’re considering this place.
