The room felt dated, with a worn-out look and a dirty carpet, and it wasn't the room we expected from the photos. Still, the price seemed fair for what was offered, and it wasn't a bad stay. It's an old motel close to the waterfalls.

We'd happily come back. The room was spotless, the grounds looked well cared for, and the beds were really comfortable, which made it a good stopover. The one downside was light from outside coming through the blinds. It kept the room only about 25% dark, so blackout curtains would help.

I was moving and needed somewhere quiet to stay for one night. The motel was quaint, and I appreciated that the woman at the front desk upgraded me from the cheapest twin and double bed room to a queen room without charging extra. It was a nice place to stay while I was moving, and I’d recommend it if you need a safe spot to park a moving truck overnight.

I love the tables and chairs outside the units, looking out over the wooded courtyard. The staff were friendly, and the motel was clean, comfortable, and charming, with more amenities than I’d expect for the reasonable price. It’s an old-fashioned place in the woods near beautiful waterfalls. We learned the hard way about an overnight stay in the Shasta area: drive past Yreka and stay in lovely Dunsmuir. We’ll know next time.

There’s a lovely outdoor space with picnic tables, swinging benches, and a patio bench outside every room. The parking lot even has cute string lights. The owners were kind and very hospitable, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. It’s a great base for Burney, McCloud, and Mount Shasta. We’ll come back when we’re in the area again.
