Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Perimeter Center/Dunwoody

Elcy, Camilla, and Kameelah made my birthday stay feel special, and the thoughtful gift was much appreciated. Everyone I met here was outstanding. The whole staff works so hard, and the hotel is spotless with customer service to match. Wishing you all a happy new year :)

This has become my preferred hotel. The consistency, professionalism, and personal attention I get here have made me insist on staying at Residence Inn Dunwoody. I want the staff I met to be recognized and fairly compensated for the great job they do. Kameelah, a supervisor, offered to help with any concerns when I asked who the manager was after breakfast. There wasn't a problem to report. I wanted the manager, district manager, or regional manager to hear how satisfied I was. She took the initiative to handle anything that might come up, instead of just handing me a name. At breakfast, Elcy made sure I had what I needed and that the food was fresh and refilled for all the guests. She kindly spoke Spanish with me while I practiced. I'm not fluent yet, and we laughed about how I learned from novelas on Univision and Telemundo, along with some time studying at school. I didn't speak directly with Alejandra, who was busy cooking, but everything I ate was cooked perfectly. The eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, and especially the grits were all delicious. I checked in late, near the shift change for John and Jarmony. John has been cordial and helpful since my first stay in 2024. He remembers my face and name, accommodates my room requests, and once talked with me at length about the added security of needing a key to open the door after sunset. Though John was heading home, Jarmony asked if I needed anything before bed. She was still upbeat the next morning, greeting everyone who passed with a warm smile. This is a lengthy review, but I wanted to describe the care and character of the Residence Inn Dunwoody staff.

The team is what makes this hotel special. Everyone was friendly and showed genuine hospitality. While we were there, they celebrated a birthday or something similar, and you could tell they enjoy working together. The hotel and rooms were clean and quiet. The location was great, with everything nearby, including Publix, good restaurants, and Spirit Halloween during Halloween.

The room was clean and smelled nice, and the location and staff were great. But I got almost no sleep. The bed felt like a partly inflated mattress, and the pullout sofa bed was even worse. Its mattress was so thin I could feel the bare metal frame underneath. The noise didn't help: street-facing windows let in every speeding car, the bathroom fan ran nonstop with no way to switch it off, and the HVAC beside the bed made more noise. With the awful beds and noise from three places in a small room, sleep was impossible. Parking was a problem unless you wanted to walk a long way, because the Brazilian steakhouse next door took up all the spaces. I can't say whether breakfast was good since they stop serving at 9 AM. That's laughable. If money is tight enough to cut breakfast off that early, don't serve it at all. A very poor stay and no value for the higher price. Try another hotel.
