Best Western Liberty Inn DuPont JBLM

The staff made the stay pleasant. They were cordial and accommodating, helped us get pool towels with a smile, and were easy to talk to when we had questions. The hotel feels fairly new and was in good shape, and our room was a nice size. It had a jacuzzi, which was especially welcome since the pool felt chilly and the hot tub was being repaired. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including make-your-own pancakes or waffles, toast, bagels, and different drinks. The location around DuPont, WA was okay, though not ideal, and GPS kept looping us around the block, so pay attention to where you are. One thing I really disliked was Fox News playing in the breakfast area, including an interview with Trump. I turned my back to the TV because I don’t support him and didn’t want his propaganda on while I ate. I think the hotel should consider that not everyone supports him. Aside from that, our stay was pleasant.

I keep coming back because this place feels like a home away from home. It’s clean, affordable, flexible, and accommodating, and it works perfectly for a little getaway. The staff are fast, friendly, and professional. Niva is my favorite. She always makes me feel welcome, with a beautiful smile and such a kind spirit. If you get to check in with her, you’re lucky. We’ve stayed here twice for a full week each time, and the whole team has gone out of their way to help us. Our daughter got married on the last trip, and Ms Diana helped us with all kinds of things. Thomas was a big help too. They even upgraded our daughter and her new husband to the executive suite, which was amazing. The facility is very pretty, and the food is always delicious and nicely presented. We always choose Best Western, and Liberty is one reason why.

The location worked very well for me, close to base and in an area where I felt safe walking around. Getting onto base was quick. My king room, not a suite, was clean, with a cold fridge, microwave, and hot shower. There was a working ice machine and a stacked vending machine in the hall, and housekeeping came daily. Breakfast was good with several choices, though the main hot items didn’t have much variety. The big problem was the Wi-Fi. It disconnected a lot, wouldn’t reconnect automatically, and was extremely slow, possibly throttled. It wasn’t password protected for residents, and every time I’ve encountered Wi-Fi set up that way it’s been awful. Internet matters a lot to me at a hotel, and this nearly ruined the stay. If another nearby hotel has better Wi-Fi, I won’t be back.
