Breakfast was the one bright spot, and it was great for a hotel. The location near Front Street is also good. But the property feels worn out and needs updating. The bathroom floor looked dirty, the shower finish was worn away, and the toilet seat didn’t fit, so you ended up partly sitting on porcelain. The deadbolt wouldn’t work either. Worst, it was 85 degrees outside and the AC only blew like a fan. We didn’t realize until late. I mentioned the lock and AC at checkout and didn’t get an apology. Poor service, tired hotel.

Our group of 20 golfers had a positive stay at the Fairbridge Inn for the second year in a row. Magdalena and the staff handled quite a few changes promptly before we arrived, and check-in and checkout went smoothly for all of us. The free breakfast was just right. Rooms were clean, with some having kitchenettes, suites, or jetted tubs. We’re already planning to return in 2027.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were comfortable, the prices were great, and breakfast had waffles. Both the person who checked us in and the one who checked us out were amazing. Please thank the front desk again for us. We’ll be back, 10/10.

We were senior women and got a room on the third floor, right beside the elevator. The floor smelled mildewy, and the foyer had a strange mix of old Southern style, high ceilings and crown molding with cheap 80s motel decor. The air was musty. The room was dated but comfortable, with a king bed, sofa, and bunk bed. The sofa and king bed were comfortable but worn. The twin was basically a floor bed, hard for a disabled senior to get in and out of, and at 4'10" the top bunk was at sternum height. The rug looked stained and felt grimy underfoot. The bathroom had a tub and shower with no safety features. When we ran water in the sink, strong mildew odors came up, then it smelled of mildew and chlorine. Coffee service, microwave, and a small mini fridge were standard. The website advertised a 24-hour indoor pool and spa, but after check-in we were told these wouldn’t open until x date. The pool and hot tub hadn’t had water in them for quite a while. We should have chosen one of the other nearby hotels. At checkout, we were told other guests had checked out first, so we’d have to wait for housekeeping to inspect the room before the $120 incidental fee could be returned. We needed to get on the road, but tried to trust the place. Three days later, the $120 had been charged to our account. They said we’d left linens on the floor and there was a urine stain on the mattress protector. We strip linens and sort them into piles, including sheets and pillowcases, blankets, and used towels, at every place we stay to help housekeeping. We bagged the trash and left it by the door. We did not urinate in the bed. We may be senior women, but we’re not that feeble yet. It felt hinky, and we’ve never had to deal with this at another hotel. Avoid it if you’re sensitive to mold and mildew, or don’t want to spend time dealing with what felt like trumped-up accusations. Their AI support disconnected me instead of transferring me to the department or a person I requested. Someone should investigate their practices and how often guests actually get their incidental fees refunded.
