Paul and Amy made us feel welcome right away, and breakfast was a real pleasure. We chose the full breakfast, which was generous and delicious, and enjoyed eating with the other guests in such a lovely setting. We had the Garden View suite, the only ground-floor room. It has a full kitchen and a king-size bed, and felt comfortable and peaceful, with lovely views of the grounds. The inn is well placed for walking to many historic buildings and down the hill into downtown Yorktown. We visited Yorktown and the surrounding area for the first time in early December. The inn was decorated for Christmas, and even with a light dusting of snow, I could imagine how lovely the gardens and grounds must be in spring and summer. We had a beautiful stay, and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We had everything we needed for a little getaway. It was my first stay at a bed and breakfast, and it turned out wonderfully. Our hostess was phenomenal and made our 20th wedding anniversary staycation feel perfect. The place was comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was amazing. My husband especially loved the baked apples. We'd recommend it and can't wait to return.

Paul and Amy were so accommodating and wonderful. They made us a fully homemade breakfast that beat any restaurant meal I've had. The suites had everything we could need, including dishes, linens, a coffee maker and coffee, plus snacks and bottled water. The rates were excellent, and the location is the best in Yorktown. Truly perfect for us. If you're in or near YORKTOWN, this is the place to stay. I'll definitely come back.

We chose the full breakfast both mornings, and it felt like sharing a delicious meal with friends. Paul and Amy were gracious hosts, and we felt right at home. Our Garden View Suite was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom, kitchen, dining table, king bed, and a cozy living area. I especially liked having coffee on the patio through the French doors, looking out at the beautiful gardens. From Marl Inn, it's a short walk to the beach along the York River, as well as nearby restaurants and shops. The Yorktown battle site is just a quick drive away. My husband and I stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. We highly recommend Marl Inn.

Breakfast is optional, which suited us well. We just wanted to sit on our deck in the morning with coffee and take in the peaceful grounds. They were beautiful, and you can tell Amy and Paul put a lot of care into making guests' stays enjoyable. Our Yorktown suite was spacious and impeccably clean. Amy and Paul were outstanding hosts, too. The inn has a quaint feel that made me feel part of the Yorktown community. Everything is walkable from Marl Inn, or there's a shuttle down the road. We wish we could've stayed longer and will definitely be back. Thanks to Amy and Paul for their hospitality.
