Adobe Inn

The staff were friendly, and there's plenty of retail nearby. My room was clean except for dead bugs by the window sill. I couldn't quite work out the TV, and the internet kept cutting out, so I had to restart it. Still, for a budget motel it wasn't bad, and I'd stay again.

The man at reception was great and friendly. The woman working in the morning wasn't. Of the three rooms we rented, mine was the only really bad one, room 219. I was cold all night, the TV didn't work, and the shower button was broken, so I couldn't use it. Luckily, the shower in my friend's room worked. My door also wouldn't lock.

Remodeling still seemed to be underway in this curious place. The soaker tub and shower had a high, wide side to climb over, and the slick tub floor left me with bruises and scrapes. I decided to take it as a hint to stay in for a long soak.

The rooms seemed about on par with the La Quinta down the road, where I'd stayed the night before, and the hotel itself is nice. The noise, though, is a lot. At 7:30am there were loud voices, motorcycles, and drilling and repair work right outside my window. The building seems to catch the sound, and earplugs couldn't block it. People and motorcycle noise vary, but I also had a rude neighbor opening and slamming their door all night. I used to think you could sleep there, but my average has gone down dramatically. This was in summer, so maybe winter is more enjoyable. Keep that in mind.
