Baymont by Wyndham Durango

The poor sound insulation was a big problem. We were put in a room with a connecting door, and the guests next door had a young child who was loud late at night and early in the morning. There were plenty of empty rooms, which made the placement frustrating. The room was very cold when we arrived because the door and window weren't sealed properly, letting cold air keep coming in. We had to use the small wall heater, which was loud and heated unevenly. The TV didn't work, and the room wasn't very clean either. I'm disappointed, and the stay wasn't worth the price. I wouldn't return and would suggest choosing another hotel.

Our first room hadn't been cleaned. The second was doable, but it was 11pm and we were exhausted. In the morning we tried breakfast, but there were no drinks except water and the yogurts were outdated. The front desk person didn't seem to care when I mentioned that, or when I reported there was no hot water for a shower. I asked to speak with a manager and was told he wouldn't be there until 11:30, conveniently after checkout. We were visiting from out of state and had to leave at a set time. They said they'd contact us, but never did. I called twice later: first nobody answered, then I was told the manager was in a meeting and they didn't know how long it would be. Worst place I've stayed. Avoid it.

We were glad to leave and get a room at a local resort. We had nowhere else to go, but honestly should have slept in the car. The place was dirty inside and out, and at times smelled musty and foul. There was a boot print on the ceiling, and the bathroom didn't look like it had ever been cleaned with bleach. The shower fixture worked backward, hot was cold and cold was hot. We spent ten minutes running the water before figuring it out. There was vomit on the sidewalk outside our room, and staff didn't seem concerned about the room or its many disgusting features. Please don't stay at Baymont Durango!

We booked this “MOTEL” for three days, but left right after seeing the room and were told we'd get a refund. Nine days later, we still hadn't received our money, and the motel never answered when we called. The room was filthy: unswept, unmopped floors, rodent droppings behind the bed, jelly on the light switch, and brown liquid running down the wall behind the desk. There was a hole beside the bedside table that looked like rodents and bugs could get in. The curtains had come off their track and wouldn't close fully, the phone and lamps didn't work, and we found a bug in the bed when we pulled back the covers. Even outside, broken brooms, mop buckets, and cleaning equipment were left under the stairs, and people gathered at room doors, which raised a red flag for us. We went downstairs to say we weren't staying and were promised a refund. It's been nine days and still nothing.
