Magnolia Inn

For my out-of-town solar installation jobs, the price is reasonable, and I like having a Jack In The Box and Valero within 200 ft of my room. I rented a smoking room and was surprised it was clean. One light inside didn't work, but no big deal. The outside was swept and maintained, with no cigarette butts, beer bottles, or other trash. The A/C and heat worked right away and the filters were clean. I got a downstairs room without any issue. The hot water and shower head worked great. Highly recommended if you're on the go and on a budget.

The room was the worst I've ever stayed in. There was a half-inch gap around the entrance door, and the bathroom doorknob was broken. The sink and tub had no drain stops, and when I turned on the bathroom sink, water sprayed everywhere. There was hair and dirt on the floor, and the bathroom lights were different colors. The remote was missing its battery cover. I can't think of the other problems right now. Wouldn't recommend it.

I paid $102.00, and the room had dead bugs on the air conditioning unit. The shower had been sprayed with chemicals but not wiped down, and there was hair on the bathroom floor. I was really disappointed. I also asked the front desk to call my room at 8:00am for a wake-up call, but it never came. The service was extremely poor.

The bugs were still crawling around the bathroom after my husband blocked the gap beneath the door with a towel. He spent the night swatting beetles and crickets with his hat. We arrived late after a long drive from the Almo and found our second-floor room in awful shape. At first we thought the parking lot lights and open door had drawn the insects in, but there was a big space under the door. The bed was very hard, too, and the motel clearly needs maintenance. They also charged an extra $50 in case we took anything. I don't know if that's been refunded. I told the clerk about the room at checkout. I just hope I didn't bring bugs home, and I wouldn't stay here again unless I absolutely had to.
