This turned into a nightmare trip. We were stuck with the room for three days without hot water. Every day when we came back, we got the runaround, which was the unbearable part. We did get a partial refund. I still don't understand why it wasn't fixed right away. It is what it is. Put it down to management.

Roaches were crawling around our room and getting into our belongings, so we couldn't sleep comfortably. The carpet was old, dirty, and smelled awful, and the whole room felt unsanitary. On top of that, there was no proper hot water for showers during our paid stay. Apparently the hotel had been dealing with hot water problems for over six months but didn't mention them before we arrived. They told us it was “limited,” which was an understatement. We couldn't shower properly at all. When I complained, they offered only a $15 discount. That's insulting given the lack of basic necessities and cleanliness. This place is poorly maintained, unclean, and doesn't take guest concerns seriously. One of the worst hotel stays I've had. Avoid it.

The upstairs neighbor's every step came through the creaking ceiling, and the toilet kept running even after I jiggled the handle. The tub drained slowly, so even with hot water I'd have needed to take a quick shower before it overflowed. There wasn't any hot water at all. It was March 1, and the outdoor pool was open and running in the tail end of winter, while basic showers had no hot water. There's no smoke detector in the room either. A waste of money. Avoid this place.

We were heading into town to see family and had booked a room a week ahead for Saturday night. Before check-in time, I checked my email and found the reservation had been cancelled. The hotel confirmed the manager had cancelled it because my card was declined during pre-authorization. I’d used that card earlier and later the same day without trouble, and I wasn’t given any reason it should have failed. No one called to check the card details, though apparently that isn’t their policy. There was no manager on duty when I phoned. They offered us a different room, an upgrade at a much higher price, but I passed and took my business elsewhere. A quick call might have cleared up a simple mistake, or let us try another card if needed. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel based on this lazy handling.
