So funky and fun, I loved staying here. I expected just a bed or two, but got a whole suite with a mini kitchen, plus life size chess and all kinds of fun birdhouses. Really nice.

We stayed four days, and the location was great for walking to Brightleaf Square and Duke East Campus. It’s a quiet area, but you’re not cut off from anything, and the main streets get you back to the hotel easily. We had a Premium suite, and I wish the kitchen came with more than a small frying pan and medium pot. The pan wasn’t nonstick, so making bacon and eggs for the two of us took ages. The courtyard is amazing, so I’d suggest going in warm weather. Great place to stay. I’d definitely book it again if I return to Durham.
Good value, and it was clean and close to plenty of places to eat, but the place needs serious renovation. The sink wouldn’t drain, and when I called that afternoon, they said it couldn’t be fixed until the next day, after we’d leave. The toilet kept running after a flush unless you pulled the handle up. The door locks are an outdated deadbolt and key type.
Really cute apartments, and very clean. The gates made me feel secure. I was worried at first, but it was quiet at night and easy to sleep.
Duke Towers is a nice place to stay for a weekend or whatever travel plans you have. It’s always really quiet, and there’s always parking available.
