WoodSpring Suites Morrisville Raleigh Durham Airport

WoodSpring Suites – Morrisville, NC needs serious improvement in oversight, staff professionalism, cleanliness, and humane treatment of guests. I don’t recommend it for families or long-term stays. The front desk often shut early, around 5:00 p.m., despite the posted hours, leaving elderly guests without help. The property regularly smelled of marijuana, trash sat in the hallways for nearly two weeks, and the elevator often smelled of vomit, weed, and alcohol. A long-term guest repeatedly harassed women, hung around late at night smoking and drinking, and made degrading comments. Staff did nothing. On arrival, I saw a family with small children being evicted, their belongings left outside in 102-degree heat. It was disturbing and inhumane. Within a month, I personally saw two families evicted, with belongings piled in the lobby. My daughter and I were eventually put out over a $71 balance, and police were called. Even the officers seemed concerned about how it was handled. Most troubling, my daughter was repeatedly challenged about how much toilet paper she used. Toilet paper is a basic hotel amenity, and being questioned about it felt intrusive and harassing.

I was really looking forward to the visit, but the cleaning was the main issue. All three rooms were dirty, with hair everywhere. Then they claimed the last room was clean and gave me only two flat pillows. I was visiting from out of town and had never used virtual check-in before. It was odd and time-consuming. Having an actual person at the front desk would have been easier and quicker. They also charged a $100 holding fee, which felt unfortunate given how unclean the rooms were.

Check-in was easy, and getting help with the booking was simple. I’ve stayed here a handful of times, but this visit Anye was especially helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I love her service and the hotel. It’s a good, affordable place in the Cary/Morrisville area, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for that.

I’ve been here for over a year, and the new manager has brought some great improvements over the past 6+ months. The staff and management are great, and the rooms are very clean. I can see the cleaning crew working nonstop, folding things as they go, though sometimes the vacuuming could be better. I understand why people might be upset, but the bad reviews seem to come from people who cause problems. If you don’t, you’re good. I’ll always recommend this place.
