We arrived much later than expected, around 9:50 p.m., and the staff seemed pretty annoyed. Still, the room and bathroom were clean, and it was comfortably warm. The water pressure was excellent, lol. I'd stay again.

After a fishing trip with my buddies, I was tired and it was getting late, so I stopped to sleep. The Comfort Inn was full, which left me at the Super 8. Check-in took 35 minutes at 11 p.m., and the front desk guy was yelling at me for no clear reason. Maybe that's just how he talks, but he was rude. The room smelled of stale cigarettes and the sheets looked like they were from 1984. One star. The staff should be efficient and kind, especially when not many people seem to come through the Dyersville Super 8. The rooms are disgusting and need renovation.

I was in town for a baseball tournament where I was umpiring and needed a quiet, comfortable room for two nights. It was clean and comfortable. I also appreciated that the manager let me stay until around 12:30 after my last game on Sunday so I could shower before the drive home. That made the trip back much nicer. About the review mentioning a bad odor, I think it's the natural fertilizer smell in the air around here. There's not much the hotel can do about it. If you think that's bad, try being downwind from a sugar beet processing plant!
