Bliss Point Farm and B&B

The hosts made us feel welcome, and the place itself is both scenic and charming. My friend and I stayed for a long weekend in late December and had a lovely time. The amenities were top-notch. We’d happily come back, and definitely recommend it.

We were based here for two nights while visiting Monticello, Charlottesville and BRP. It’s a modest inn with basic amenities, tucked deep into the rolling hills of the VA piedmont. The Lynch River runs behind the property, with a trail leading down to it. The historic building 0lZ1Z8nu_n8 was built in 1890 and extensively renovated by the current owners, including the installation of double-pane windows. There are three guest rooms upstairs, each with its own bathroom, and guests can use a well-equipped kitchen.

The Peaches & Cream room had a very comfortable king bed, and I slept deeply during our three-night stay. My wife and I loved the rural surroundings at Bliss Point, with creeks and small rivers, mountains, wineries, and friendly people nearby. We swam in the river, talked with Reimer a few times, and enjoyed the organic vegetables he shared with us. We stayed with Reimer and Sarah in their 1890s home, and hope to return to Bliss Point Farm B&B before too long.

The river is a nice walk, about 7 minutes from the house, and Shenandoah National Park is a 30-minute drive away for hikes and Skyline Drive overlooks. Bliss Point Farm made a great base for exploring. Sarah and Reimer have beautifully renovated the gorgeous 1891 property, and the cozy rooms are fully equipped. The grounds are lovely to stroll around, and the garden supplies some ingredients for the fully organic breakfast. Don’t miss breakfast with Sarah and Reimer, it’s a delight.
