La Vista Express- Formerly La Quinta

The room was clean, but I won't recommend this place or stay again. I arrived at 1:30. Pm, though check-in was at 3pm, and after driving for 12 hours I asked if I could get in early. They said no and charged me $30. Extra. for 1.5 hours. Customer service is dead. The DISH CABLE TV had no good channels and sucked.

There was dirt behind the furniture, stains across the carpets, and pubic hairs all over the restroom when we arrived. The sheets also had blood stains. The place badly needed a deep clean. I didn't feel safe taking my socks off.

I was there for a month for work and needed wifi, but couldn't connect with my phone or laptop even once because of the high latency. I asked the hotel to reset the router by holding a button for 10 seconds, and they refused. They gave me a number to call instead, which never solved anything. Don't advertise WiFi if guests in every room can't use it. Get a bigger, better router, or just accommodate requests from guests. Mine wasn't a hard one!!! The raccoons were another problem. There are loads of them, and they raid the dumpsters and trash cans outside the doors at night, leaving trash everywhere. They fight and make loud, scary sounds (lol), and hide under cars. You could walk past a car and one might grab your ankles, pull you under, and bite you. Then you could get RABBIES! They're angry, mean little creatures.

The room was clean and roomy, and the A/C kept us cool all night. No roaches this time, which was great. There wasn't a coffeemaker, but that was fine. The staff were friendly and professional. Being not far from Kickapoo is a big plus, and I'll definitely stay again.
