Baymont Inn & Suites Easley/Greenville

The staff I dealt with were all friendly and helpful, and I appreciated seeing them refill the breakfast items when asked. Housekeeping also cleaned the mold on the chair beside the bed right away when I mentioned it the next morning. Still, the room smelled musty, had a large hairball on the floor, and the TV had a big dark spot. The toilet only flushed if you held its handle down, the sink faucet was loose, and the showerhead had to be held or the water sprayed into the corner. I checked for bedbugs and didn't find any, though my friend in another room found a dead one in a towel. Poor Dan Conner :( For $68 a night, the condition was disappointing. I think better upper management could keep the place from falling into disrepair. We visit Easley often and this is the handiest hotel, but we'll drive 20 minutes to stay somewhere else from now on.

It's handy for getting to things nearby, with an Apple Bees and a movie theater next door and Walmart just three minutes away. I've stayed in a couple of rooms here and they've both been clean. The staff are friendly, and when there's a problem they sort it out fast. We mentioned the shower pressure in passing to a maintenance guy, and he brought a new shower head to our door within an hour.

They still haven't returned our money, and we really need it. They charged us what looked like a double deposit, then didn't give back the single deposit even though there was no problem with our room. When I went in to ask for my money back in cash, they called the police. The officer didn't believe their lies and even tried to help us find somewhere to stay that night. We've had a very rough month and have slept in the car a few times with our one-year-old, three-year-old, and five-year-old. I'm pregnant, and my partner is a disabled veteran. This is the first hotel I've ever had call the cops on me, and the worst experience I've had with one. We watch our finances closely, and maybe they would have gotten away with it if we hadn't been. I would not recommend spending money here.

Pretty average and affordable, with a basic breakfast included. It was cleaner than the Days Inn down the street, which might be owned by the same company. The shower faucet leaked and left the bathroom floor flooded. I guess you get what you pay for?
