The Roycroft restaurant can deliver dinner to your room, and there’s a tasty continental breakfast included. The inn is relaxed, much like East Aurora itself, and works well for a long weekend. You can explore the area on foot or take a quick drive. The historic building is lovely, as is the arts and crafts furniture, including some Stickley pieces. Even the smallest inn room feels spacious, with a surprisingly huge bathroom. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. A special, unique place to stay.

The restaurant looks nice inside and has plenty of seating, but the food is seriously overpriced. I ordered steak and got just one spoonful of mashed potatoes with two cut vegetables. The side portions were tiny across the dishes. We could get a much better meal at Outback or Longhorn for far less, without kid-sized sides. Our waitress was so aloof that she didn’t check on us between courses. It was bizarre. The food is good, but there are lots of other places offering a better experience. I can barely give it four stars. It really deserves three.

I can’t speak to the rooms, which are probably lovely, but don’t eat here. The food was awful. Service was fine, though it took a while. Please find somewhere else to eat. I can’t believe there aren’t more reviews about how bad the food is. Ignore me and try it yourself if you want to spend a couple hundred bucks. Cheers.

I’ve gone to the Roycroft’s December brunch for years, but this time things felt off as soon as we sat down. It was cold, and although the price had gone up, the mimosa or poinsettia that used to come with brunch was no longer included. There seemed to be about a third fewer food options, and nothing stood out apart from the desserts. One table had bowls of cheese chunks and olives, and plain bagels with a slicer made it feel like a cheap motel’s continental breakfast. The music was lovely when it played, but the musicians took so many breaks that I barely heard them. Santa seemed odd too, either walking around with an alcoholic drink or sitting with the musicians. I shared my concerns with the manager, who was fantastic. I suspect the changes are beyond his control, and our waitress was lovely as well. Sadly, we won’t be back next year, though I hope the brunch returns to its former quality.

We only stayed one night, but they accommodated our request for an early check-in, which says a lot about their customer service. The hotel and venue are beautiful, and the rooms are spacious with lots of personality and an antique feel. We didn’t get to try the restaurant, so we’d come back for that. We fell in love with East Aurora, a cozy historic community with plenty to offer.
