My three-day stay was unfortunately not up to par. The elevators were unusable in practice: it took me 20 minutes to get from the 15th floor to the lobby. There was a dance competition, and the elevators seemed to stop at floor B before heading back up to the hotel rooms. I was charged double for parking after checkout. The pool water wasn’t even room temperature, and there was duct tape along the shallow end. Not one towel could be found near the pool or gym, and none of the locker room or pool showers had warm or hot water. I also wasn’t told the hot tub was out, which was one of the few reasons we chose this place. I bought a sandwich from the "Starbucks ", but it was so warm the cheese had melted into a paste. When I asked for a refund, two workers opened the package and inspected it as if I’d caused the problem. They said they couldn’t refund me without a manager, who wouldn’t be in until the next day. That was $7 down the drain. I complained to the front desk and was offered free breakfast or 10,000 points, but declined both.

I’ve stayed here twice and love how close it is to everything. The location is easy to get to, and the lobby looks beautiful. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, especially for the price, and the pool is great too. The staff are polite and helpful. Wanda was awesome when we checked out. The weekend before Christmas, Santa and the fire department show up as well. I always recommend this hotel, especially to people visiting New York who want to save money.

After a corporate Christmas party, I went to the bar with other guests, but one bartender was rude, hostile, and unprofessional for no clear reason. I left rather than keep being treated that way. I’ve worked in customer service for over 15 years and would never treat a guest like that. My room was dated and not worth the $96 upgrade I selected in the hotel app. The app offered upgrades from $96 to $163, but the $163 option jumped to over $500 when I arrived, with no explanation. Front desk staff couldn’t answer basic, reasonable questions, and had wrongly told me the room came with a microwave and refrigerator. There was no microwave. The TV was outdated and barely worked, drawer knobs were coming off, and the windows were visibly dirty, with children’s handprints. The bathtub drained so slowly that shower water pooled above my ankles. Misleading pricing, poor room quality, and hostile staff point to serious management and training failures. This is unacceptable for a hotel charging premium prices and hosting corporate events.

I’m here for a dance convention and had a really nice interaction with Althea at the front desk. She was kind and courteous, and made me feel welcome right away. She patiently answered all my questions and made sure I had what I needed to have a good stay.
