Whistling Swan Motel

We wanted to hike around Two Medicine and found this quaint motel, which suited us perfectly. The owner, Mark, was a great host. He also owns the store down the road and stayed open for us when the Amtrak was running late. He gave us hiking information, let us get supplies for cooking, and sold us the highly suggested bear spray so we could head out early the next day. We got a 2 bedroom with kitchenette for a great price. It felt more like an air bnb than a motel, with a clean room, comfortable bed, and a perfect kitchenette. This is a motel, not a resort, and met our needs exactly. We'd suggest visitors support the Whistling Swan and local businesses in town.

I liked having a kitchen, but the train passing every 30 min to an hour was rough, especially when it shook the room. We were told cleaning staff wouldn't enter unless we asked, yet when we got back after being out for a few hours, there were new towels and the beds had been made. The sheets weren't fresh. They'd been picked up off the floor and put straight back on the bed.

The room was clean and spacious, but the refrigerator was broken. Wifi was really slow, the parking area was deep gravel, and check-in was two blocks away.

The room was clean, the bed was clean too, and everything worked. It was fantastic for the price. I got turned around at the Canadian border and was in a tight spot, but the owner really came through, helping me find a box and packing material to ship my guns back home. Thanks, guys!
