Economy Inn

We only ended up here because we were going to see Chris Brown at the Pratt & Whitney stadium and it was the closest place we could find, since the Holiday Inns are permanently closed. The front desk was okay and check-in with our booking.com reservation was straightforward. The AC kept the room comfortably cool, and the fridge, lights, and iron all worked. We had two double beds, plenty of outlets, and a TV we never used. The towels had hairs stuck to them that looked like pubic hair, so we didn’t use them. Our sheets had burn marks, possibly because it was a smoking room, and we couldn’t tell if they were clean. We weren’t comfortable during the stay. Water from the bathroom could run into the room if the shower curtain wasn’t positioned carefully or we splashed too much. If all you need is somewhere to sleep and freshen up, it’ll do, but don’t expect much.

They noticed the third-party booking had requested a smoking room and asked what I preferred. When I said I didn’t want one, they moved me to a non-smoking room. The staff were friendly and apologetic about my missing hairdryer and the fact that breakfast was only coffee. I just wish I’d paid for a hairdryer. There were smoke burns on the blankets, and it’s a shame guests cause that kind of damage. For a basic bed and shower at a good price, you get what you pay for.

The first room they gave me was dirty, so I switched. The replacement had beg bugs, and I was bitten all night. I’ve been calling for days because I want a refund, not another night at your location.

We had to leave our home because of the city, and this was the best of the three options we had. The desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable about our situation, and the cleaning staff were friendly too. The room was cheap and convenient, but the bathroom was dirty when we got in, with a dirty rag left in plain sight. The toilet shifted when you sat on it, and the shower control needed tightening. Staff were kind, but don’t expect the Ritz.
