Motel 6 Niantic, CT - New London

We had an extended stay here because of family circumstances, and the staff treated us like family. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was top tier, and we always felt safe and welcome. This motel and its staff are AMAZING! We'll be planning a staycation soon so we can come back and visit.

I had to stay here for over a month, and the conditions were disgusting. The place was dirty, and housekeeping barely seemed to do anything. Police and ambulances came multiple times every night. The owner, or whoever handles your bill, has tried to overcharge me before, so watch your charges carefully. I hope this helps someone.

We asked for a refund and left right away. The room smelled smoky and musty, and although the bed was made, the comforter had so many stains. There was a fight going on out front. Our Uber driver said it was the worst hotel in the entire area. We felt the place was unsafe and unclean, despite reviews saying it was nice and clean. Thankfully, they completed the refund.

I only needed somewhere to sleep for a night, and the location just off the highway worked well. There was plenty of hot water for a shower, but the mattress had little support. The room had a strange smell, maybe like musty cleaning solution, hard to describe. A dog in the next room kept barking. The room itself was basic.
