Hyatt House East Moline Quad Cities

The pool was closed because it was extremely cold outside, which was a shame. There is a small gym, though, and the morning breakfast was very good. The restaurant stays open later, too. It's a very nice, updated and clean motel with friendly staff. We had a really good stay and would come back if we're in the area.

When it's freezing outside, this place has pretty much everything you need without having to venture out. There's a lobby alcove called H Market with wine, snacks, hygiene items and other things for sale. Guests can use computers and a printer, and parking is plentiful. The pool and fitness room are there too. The fitness room is small, but has the basics you'd expect at a hotel. There's also a Milltown Coffee shop not far away, west down River Road, which I like since I support local businesses. I had a time-sensitive document to scan to my email, and the staff kindly helped me with it. They were so helpful and kind, thank you! The Mississippi River view is lovely, as is the River Room cocktail lounge. Be sure to see the view from there. The 9 Dot restaurant serves delicious food. This is one of my top choices for a return visit next time I'm in Moline.

Khristine was especially friendly and helpful, and really made the stay more enjoyable. The staff were very apologetic about a gas leak one day and a few hours without hot water on another. Those things can happen sometimes. We were there with family for a nice stay. The rooms were spacious, and the kitchenette had everything we needed for a few days. The Santa Suite for kids to visit was a really nice touch. There isn't much to do within walking distance.

Our oldest son wanted to swim for his birthday, which was his only birthday request, so we booked the Hyatt at the last minute for a getaway with our two young kids. The staff were very sweet when we arrived, and the woman who checked us in was excellent. There were maybe 20 kids running around and jumping in and out of the pool, possibly a traveling baseball group, so we decided to eat first and try again. The downstairs restaurant was convenient, and its staff were friendly too. After dinner the pool was so crowded that people were standing around the edges waiting to get in. We figured it was our fault for booking a busy weekend. We'd already showered, and found a used bar of soap in the shower that wasn't ours. We thought we'd get up early and swim, but the pool was absolutely disgusting. It was so cloudy you couldn't see through it, with debris floating in the water. After my toddler pulled a third glob of hair out, I called it quits. Bandaids were all over the pool deck, and my sister-in-law cleaned the area because it was horrendous when we came down that morning. Very disappointing. Lots of kids look forward to swimming.
