Motel 6 East Syracuse, NY – Airport

After we found mold in the bathroom, a bad smell started coming from it. We complained right away, but all they did was come in and say, “It’s not that bad.” We called corporate to ask for a refund. They said they couldn't issue one, but the local management would contact us. Nobody ever did, and there was no apology or reimbursement. Instead, they banned us from staying there and wouldn't let us reserve another room, without explaining why. The staff were extremely rude and unaccommodating. Avoid this place unless you want a room that smells of mold and the chance of being discriminated against.

The parking was okay, though there's no fence. I'm not sure how convenient it is for the airport. I didn't hear any planes, so maybe it's not very close. The staff attendant was helpful, but didn't know much, having worked at the hotel only a day or two. The hotel fixtures and beds look updated, and perhaps the floors do too. But the hard floors were dirty and sticky, and the bathrooms were dirty as well.

The rooms were dirty, and there were lots of people in the lobby and around the building who seemed strange. It felt kind of sketchy. There was plenty of parking and a nice restaurant next door. 😳

Don't stay here. The rooms are filthy, with sticky floors and dirty towels, as well as mold that makes you physically ill. The staff were useless and offered no help, and corporate does nothing.
