CAUTION, this felt like a rip-off. I booked two August nights on May 6, 2026 and paid in full. My plans changed, so I canceled with Adam on May 8, and the policy said I'd get a full refund. After waiting a week, I called him and was told it would take about another week. I waited that week and called again. Adam said he'd handle it that day, but by May 28, 2026 I still had to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get my money back.

We felt at home right away in the Steerage room. The beds were comfortable, and the room and setting were lovely. Although it's called a motel, being among the trees made it feel more like luxury camping. The grounds have a rustic, natural feel, stay fairly cool in the shade, and have fire pits and grills guests can use after checking with the owner. Beaches are nearby, while the main road and its loud cars are set farther back. There were occasional bugs, as you'd expect in the woods. We sometimes left the door open for the breeze, so being careful about that would probably help keep them out. Management was excellent and compassionate, and I had a great time birdwatching here. The location and rooms were good, and it was a much better experience than other motels we've stayed in.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our four nights. Our room had all the amenities and comfortable beds. This rustic motel sits among the woods off US-6, close to an excellent bike trail and a short distance from some lovely nature trails. Our favorite seafood place, Arnold's, was within walking distance. Thanks, Alan, Andrey, and Darya. We hope to return.

A lovely family-run motel tucked into the trees off the road, so it feels private and secluded. The room was clean and comfortable, and the kind staff were happy to help. It had everything we needed for a Cape Cod trip.

Staying at Allen's feels more like being at a buddy's place than at a hotel. They look out for you and want you to be happy. Once I checked in, the place was perfect. Even before I arrived, the owner called to say I could check in early because of the heat index. A short chat showed me he takes pride in his small business and would go out of his way to make the stay better. You don't find service like that much anymore. I spend more nights on the road than at home for work, including in $500-a-night hotels, but I've rarely felt as welcome as I did at this little Cape Cod hideaway. Cheers to Alan and his family for being professional, courteous, and fair and transparent about pricing. I'm looking forward to more personal and work stays at Midway.
