Ocean Park Inn

The location is great, and it's nice having several pool options. Free Wi-Fi in the room was also a plus. But we weren't impressed. Our room was really dirty and dusty, smelled like mold, and the bathroom was very outdated with nowhere to put toiletries. The bathroom floor was still sandy from the previous guests. The fridge was tiny and barely cooled anything, the TV picture was poor, and the room was noisy, especially with the old AC. I'm giving an extra star for the front desk women, who were wonderful and very welcoming.

We liked the location, the outdoor pool was great, and the prices were good. The beds were fine. The bathroom is older and small, with little counter space, though that wasn't an issue for us. I was a bit concerned about bugs because cleaning wasn't quite thorough, we could see Cheetos under the dressers from the previous guests, but we had no trouble. We'd come back.

The beach access nearby was good, and the man who checked us in was nice. Beyond that, the room was a mess. It smelled of mildew the whole time and had spiders and webs everywhere. The very loud AC barely worked, bathroom ceiling tiles had gross stains, the Wi-Fi was out, and the bathroom light didn't work. None of the light switches worked properly either, so we had to unplug the lights to go to bed. Extension cords were all over the place, which didn't seem safe, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I gave it two stars because at least we had a roof over us and, hopefully, didn't catch anything. Honestly, it wasn't worth the price.

For the price, this place was clean, quiet at night, and better than I expected after reading the reviews. The room looked freshly painted and carpeted, the AC worked, the beds were comfortable, and there were no odd smells. We came in late June, before the pool was open, but could use the amenities at the Sheraton next door. If the kids can walk, it's not far; driving over might be easier otherwise. It's a motel, so keep expectations in check. The front desk was great, and the location made it easy to get to Route 6 and what that part of the Cape offers, including P-town, the beach, ice cream, and mini golf. I'd stay again. The only real hassle was getting back onto Route 6, with nonstop traffic.
