The beds really stood out. They were cozy and impressive, and the place was quiet and clean. Outdoor inns can come with sketchy parking lots and hard beds, but that wasn’t my experience here. The staff were very friendly, from management and the front desk to housekeeping. They were helpful with local advice, too. The property is being updated. My only issue was the bathtub draining very slowly. That’s common in hotels, and I’m sure she would have addressed it if I’d been staying longer and mentioned it. This is well run, and it’ll keep being my go-to for a local overnight when I’m having repairs done at home. They said they plan to make all the rooms nonsmoking after the updates. I’m a shameful smoker, so I hope they add a simple heated, climate controlled outdoor spot like I have at home for cold nights 🤞. It’s an impressive, top tier budget friendly outdoor hotel. The negative reviews seem to be from three years ago or earlier, so I wouldn’t pay much attention to those. I’d stick with reviews from the past year, which reflect my experience. I’m guessing there have been new owners or upgrades.
