Lyle Washington D.C.

There were 25 of us meeting in the basement for several days. We had round tables in one room, sofas and chairs in another, a conference room for around 20, plus a kitchen area for drinks and the occasional snack. I’d definitely stay at the Lyle again and would recommend it for a smaller workgroup gathering. Love this boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the burled walnut Art Deco style felt updated and cozy. Breakfast and lunch were delicious.

The one drawback was weak water pressure in the shower. Otherwise, the room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with an amazing view of the Washington Monument. The hotel has a real identity, and its restaurant is worth a visit. The cocktails were very good and original. This was my third stay and I still love the hotel. The location is perfect for walking, feels safe, and is close to lots of dining options. The staff are friendly and professional. I’m surprised it still isn’t included in the Michelin recommendations.

Tenea on the Lyle sales team helped us book 40 rooms for my daughter’s wedding and made sure everything was in order for our guests. I also worked directly with LaToya in reservations. She was so helpful and stayed on top of everything we needed. The whole hotel team went above and beyond to make the stay great for us and our guests. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were so comfortable that several guests said they wanted them at home. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of the metro. Some of our guests extended their visit to enjoy the beautiful Cherry Blossoms. We’ll definitely stay there again. Thanks to everyone at the Lyle for making my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding weekend perfect. If you’re having a wedding at The Perry Belmont, I’d recommend this hotel. It’s a short three-minute walk.

The hotel charged $35 a day as a “hotel fee,” and we didn’t learn about it until checkout. They said it covered the amenities, WiFi, mineral water bottles, and a tote. This was the only negative part of the stay. I didn’t need the water or tote, and I feel like the amenities and WiFi should be included. The fee should be disclosed upfront, especially since we were told at check-in that those things were “complimentary.” The stay itself was amazing, and the food was great.
