Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Eaton

The bed broke along the side when I got up to go to bed that evening. I called the front desk, and the clerk, who sounded very busy, said she’d come by once things settled down. She arrived about 15 minutes later and checked it, but said there were no other rooms available. It was around 9:30 pm, and the bed was still usable, so I didn’t really want to move anyway. At checkout, the same woman who had helped us the day before brushed it off, saying they’d been there 10 years and things happen. I wasn’t impressed with how it was handled. The night clerk had said the only other room was out of service, and I expected at least some money off for the inconvenience. We were only there for one night. My husband walks with a cane and has trouble with stairs, so it was a problem to find there were no elevators. When we asked for a ground-floor room, we were told there weren’t any. The manager on duty, I assume, offered to carry our bags up. Our room by the stairs worked well, but then we found there was no ice machine on the second floor. The acting manager offered to get ice for us.
