Doubletree Tinton Falls

Our group had a great time here. The renovated rooms were clean, and the hotel itself is beautiful. There’s a bar on site with great service, and the location is right off the highway, close to Starbucks and Target. One thing to know if you’re assigned a first-floor room: you have to pass through the ballroom. If an event is going on, you’ll need to walk around outside to get through the hotel.

The location made getting around easy, and the staff were kind, helpful, professional, and communicated well throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with a suite upgrade, which gave our family more space. Our teen slept on the pull-out couch, though it wasn’t very comfortable. The room felt spacious and modern, and having a Peloton in it was a fun surprise. The bathroom is quite small, and the toilet seat sits low, which could be difficult for an older guest or someone with mobility concerns. We had a five-star stay and really appreciated the service and thoughtful communication.

Our hockey team came for season playoffs, and I’d choose this hotel again if we have games nearby. We had a small problem on arrival, but the staff resolved it quickly and treated us respectfully. Nobody gets everything right every time, and how they respond matters. They handled it so well that I thought they deserved credit. The hotel has been updated, with a newer, modern feel. Rooms were fairly spacious, with nice lighting, flat-screen TVs, lots of outlets and ports, chairs, storage, a mini fridge, and a small coffee bar. My favorite detail was the lighted makeup mirror on the bathroom wall. Now I want one at home. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, plus nice shared lobby spaces that our team used both nights. On Saturday we had a large team dinner delivered there. We appreciated that the hotel let us bring in outside food and drinks. With a big group, splitting the cost of pizza is much easier than paying $20 per person for hotel hamburgers, and finding a restaurant on short notice isn’t always possible. We’re careful to clean up after ourselves. The staff were also working hard to keep the lobby presentable with people tracking in snow and ice chemicals. The beds were comfortable, the elevators quick, and parking was plentiful and free. There aren’t dining options within walking distance, but several are about 5-10 minutes away, and the hotel is near major highways.

We had to leave because the tournament was cancelled during the historic Winter storm Fern. The storm hit Sunday 1/25/26, states of emergency were declared along the East Coast, and after midnight only essential vehicles were allowed on the roads. I have written proof the tournament was cancelled. We would have stayed otherwise, but everyone had to head home. Nobody used or entered our room on 1/24/26, yet the hotel has refused to refund that night. I told them at check-in this might happen, and they said they couldn’t help because I prepaid and needed to contact Hilton. Hilton told me it had already paid the hotel, so the hotel would need to issue the refund. I checked out in the app Saturday and opened a chat. They said no front desk person was available Sunday 1/25/26. On Monday, Hilton told me the hotel said it needed to check whether the room had been used. I have proof we left, and we wouldn’t appear on the security cameras; our EZ pass tolls were paid late Saturday night 1/24/26. They promised to call Monday, but it’s now Thursday with no call. I’ve disputed the charge with my credit card. This is outrageous. We’re Hilton GOLD members, and this is how we’re treated. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL. They are NOT Customer friendly!
