We’d stay here again since we have family nearby. The room was clean, and the bed was nice. It’s in a good location, quiet, and reasonably priced, which is why we chose it after seeing good reviews. There’s a hot breakfast, but the main options stay the same: biscuits and gravy, sausage, and eggs. They also have muffins, cereal, yogurt, bagels, and toast. If you’re not picky, it’s a decent light breakfast.

Ebony and the housekeeping team did a great job. While I was out, they made the bed, brought fresh towels, and took the trash, but left my other things just as I’d left them. It was a nice reset after a long workday. Check-in and checkout were both quick, and the guy at the desk already knew who I was before I showed my ID. I got a first-floor corner room, which was perfect. The bathroom was a bit small, and the microwave’s dial timer was awkward to use, but I had a great stay.

The only real downside was the AC. It was loud and kicked on every 10-15 minutes. Otherwise, this turned out to be a clean, quiet, updated hotel, and I’m glad I happened upon it.

We stayed for the NASCAR race at Martinsville Speedway, and getting there and back was quick and easy. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, plus a Walmart. The rooms and grounds at Baymont were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and there’s a nice pool. Staff were amazing at check-in. I appreciated being able to check in early for a small fee, and late checkout is allowed too.
